We are currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in our Alpharetta, GA location. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex, mission critical projects, industrial work and contribute to innovative, resilient designs that shape the built environment.
What You’ll Do:
Design power distribution, lighting and controls, backup power (UPS/generators), and renewable energy systems with a strength in mission critical environments (e.g., data centers, secure facilities) and life science. Handle project coordination, technical calculations, site surveys and client management.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and system schematics.
- Develop sketches and technical documentation for complex power systems.
- Guide junior engineers and designers in the layout of electrical systems.
- Attend project and client meetings, collaborating with owners, architects, and developers.
- Prepare technical reports, write feasibility studies, prepare cost estimates and specifications and code compliance documentation.
- Review submittals, specifications, and construction documents.
- Conduct site visits, construction inspections, and punch list observations.
- Stay current with building codes, trends, and mission critical standards.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or architectural engineering (ABET-accredited).
- A minimum of 2 years of electrical systems design experience building technology in building technology
- Experience designing systems for mission critical, life science, commercial, or institutional projects.
- Solid understanding of applicable building, electrical and energy codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Team player with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Experience mentoring junior staff
Preferred:
- PE license (or ability to obtain).
- 5-10 years’ experience with data enter / mission critical power distribution experience
- LEED, WELL, or other industry certifications.
- Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience with data centers
- Project management experience, including team coordination and client communications.
- Ability to travel for occasional site visits.
