About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator with 3+ years of proven experience in Plumbing, HVAC, or Process Piping for institutional, laboratory, pharmaceutical, brewery, healthcare, and industrial projects. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing detailed, accurate, and competitive bids while working on a wide range of technically challenging and rewarding projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for projects up to $1 million, and collaborate with a Senior Estimator on larger or more complex opportunities.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Calculate material, equipment, and labor quantities with a high degree of accuracy.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing, evaluate proposals, and compile competitive bids.
• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
• Apply practical knowledge of construction methods, field conditions, and project schedules to improve estimating accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience in plumbing, HVAC, or process piping.
• Background in institutional, healthcare, or industrial project types.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam (preferred).
• Experience with Quickpen / Autobid software (preferred).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (desired).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
