Main Responsibilities

The Transportation/Traffic Staff Engineer conducts planning and technical design level traffic assessments and impact studies for our public and private sector clients, design roadways, intersections, and traffic signal systems, perform highway planning analysis and design, assist with preparation of conceptual to construction level engineering plans, and other technical support documents for permitting. Our engineers are often involved in small to large residential and commercial developments, urban planning project, roadway and streetscape design projects.

We work with private developers, other consulting engineering firms, and municipalities as well as with state agencies. At Crossman Engineering, the wide range of services that we provide to our clients results in considerable interaction and teamwork within the company. Our engineers regularly work with other Transportation Engineers and Landscape Architects, on a variety of projects.

Skill Required

• Desire to learn
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Work and Excel
• AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience desirable
• Familiarity with Traffic Engineering software, (HSC, Synchro)

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
• 0-5+ years of experience required
• EIT preferred
