Description
The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineering firm environment and a background in industrial (chemicals and manufacturing) plant design. The candidate will have proficiency with electrical and instrumentation design and drafting (e.g., industrial power distribution, MCC’s, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, motors/drives, instrumentation and controls in industrial plant environments.
Responsibilities
- Development of Single Line Diagrams, MCC layouts, Power Plans, Grounding Plans, Lighting Plans, Cable Tray Design and Layout, Heat Tracing, Hazardous Classification Plans, Control Schematics, Interconnection Diagrams, I/O Diagrams, PLC/ Control Panel Drawings, and Conduit/Wire Schedules.
- Field work to verify existing conditions.
- Perform lighting, conductor sizing and voltage drop calculations.
- Work will be performed under the supervision of a Professional Engineer.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of relevant design experience of chemical and manufacturing plant projects including installation methods and materials of construction.
- Working knowledge the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential. Experience with AutoCad Electrical and AutoCad Plant 3D is a plus.
