Primary Responsibilities

• Performs site survey and data collection to verify and document existing conditions.
• Verifies conditions of existing equipment in the field and prepares technical reports as needed.
• Performs design tasks for electrical phase of ME projects.
• Applies engineering principals to develop and test power distribution models and loads.
• Performs calculations, selects equipment, coordinates drawings and develops bid documents.
• Coordinates with other team members across offices and disciplines to complete projects.
• Learns and applies new skills though active participation in Communities of Practice.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (EE emphasis) and EIT is desired.
• 2+ years of experience with facility design including in one or more of the following areas: low voltage distribution, power systems, building control systems or lighting design.
• Experience with the following design and modeling tools; Revit, AutoCAD, SKM PowerTools, AGI 32 or other lighting design software and MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other staff, clients and contractors effectively.
• A valid driver’s license is required for travel to project sites.
