Since the 1970s, our client has successfully served a variety of clients throughout Colorado. Areas of service include land development, surveying, surface transportation, water resources, and structural engineering as well as construction services in each of our major disciplines. Our in-house staff of talented engineers, surveyors, and support personnel enables us to respond quickly to demanding assignments, project schedules, and changing project scopes. With an annual Net Revenue of $16.5 million in 2024, our client currently has 95 employees with plans to grow to 120 employees over the next 3-5 years.


Job Summary:

Responsible for daily production of survey documents; and participates with the Project Surveyor/Project Lead in planning and oversight of multiple projects to meet budgetary and timeline targets. Perform calculations and create survey documents for various types of surveys such as topographic, right-of-way, and control surveys.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Production of boundary, construction and design survey documents.
  • Identifies and recommends solutions to technical survey problems, errors in surveys, plats, filing documents and more.
  • Reviews for completeness and accuracy any boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and residential surveys as well as any associated calculations or field data collection.
  • Perform construction calculations and create documents for use by field staff.
  • Ability to comprehend information found in technical and legal documents such as construction plans and deeds.
  • Demonstrate high attention for completeness and accuracy as well as document quality control.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Must work well with a team, take direction well, and possess a strong willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency with Auto CAD Civil 3D preferred.
  • Trimble Business Center and GIS knowledge is a plus.


Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0 - 2 years of land survey experience required in a related field.
